Property Advice & Representation

How should I divide my assets following my separation? I feel stressed and confused because I don’t know where to start? How long it will take and how much it will cost?  

We will advise you of the processes for a property settlement in everyday language, that you can easily understand and digest.

We will also advise you of your various options for property settlement - including by agreement, by mediation or by court order. We will strive to get the best outcomes for you with the least stress possible.

We will confidently represent you to strive to obtain a just outcome which balances your family's needs, commercial considerations and an equitable distribution of your family's assets.

Parenting Advice & Representation

Do I need formal Court orders about my children? Should I have a Parenting Plan in place? What are my legal rights to spend time with my children? Who decides on their schooling and other big picture issues?

We will answer your parenting questions and assist you in obtaining a Parenting Plan or Consent Orders (Court approved Agreement ) based on your family’s specific circumstances,

We will advise you of your Children’s legal rights and help you access support and dispute resolution services for the benefit of your family. We will strive to avoid court proceedings, except as a last resort.

Spousal Maintenance Advice & Agreements

How do I support myself financially after my separation? Does my ex-partner have a legal duty to support me until I get back on track financially?

We will advise you about whether you may be eligible for Spousal Maintenance - so that you can support yourself until you get back on your feet.  

We will try and negotiate an agreement in the first instance. We will advise you, honestly and competently, of your legal entitlements.

Alternatively if you think you might be liable to pay spousal maintenance we can advise you of your rights and responsibilities and draw up a Spousal Maintenance Agreement to protect you against future claims.
